Robin Lasser is a professor of art at San Jose State University in California. Her photographs, video, site-specific installations and public art have been exhibited in Buenos Aires, Rio De Janeiro, New York City, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Japan and the Czech Republic. Her work has been featured in numerous books and periodicals, most recently Rebecca Solnit’s Storming the Gates of Paradise: Landscapes for Politics. The former Fulbright Scholar spent nearly a decade with collaborator Kathryn Sylva on an expansive creative project entitled “Eating Disorders in a Disordered Culture.” Lasser lives in Oakland, California, with her husband and son.
